RECREATION AND INTRAMURAL BUILDING RENOVATION

Bozoian Group Architects was selected for this $1.6 million renovation and remodel of several areas in the Recreation and Intramural Building at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla. The University is currently upgrading their athletic and recreation facilities to meet student needs based upon an existing Master Plan Study.

The Recreation and Intramural Building remodel included a new general fitness area and renovations to the existing Varsity Weight Room and Fitness Room for exclusive use of the intercollegiate athletes.

The design for the new general fitness area included salvaging the existing roof joists and raising the roof.  This provided additional headroom to accommodate a new mezzanine for cardio exercise equipment.  The mezzanine overlooks the exercise floor below and a new 2-story glass | aluminum storefront with views to the outdoors.

Bozoian Group provided full services including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding & Negotiating and Construction Administration.
