Located in a suburb of Denver, the focal point of this $9,082,000 recreational facility is the aquatic center.  The aquatic center contains an indoor wave pool with zero depth entry, corkscrew slide, raindrop, frog slide, lazy river with a vortex, whirlpool and lap pool. 

Additional features of the facility include a gymnasium and gymnastic room surrounded by a running track, 3 racquetball courts, an aerobic room, and a cardiovascular and free weight room.  The facility also contains preschool and child care facilities.

The main level offers a large multipurpose / assembly room available to members of the local community. The assembly room can be divided into three separate rooms using sliding acoustical panels.

An adjacent kitchen supports the assembly room and the entire space (whether divided or whole) extends out onto a second floor, brick balcony overlooking a landscaped courtyard below. 

 

The facility is 78,780 square feet and was completed in the fall of 1994.  This project received national recognition by being featured as the cover story for the June 1995 issue of Athletic Business.
