SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY
CORBIN J. ROBERSTON
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES CENTER
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS

This existing recreational facility at Southwestern University contained a small gymnasium, natatorium, racquetball courts and locker rooms with associated administrative and mechanical support spaces. The exterior skin of the facility consisted of dirty limestone and metal panels. The limestone was cleaned, existing metal panels were removed and
re-skinned with new limestone.

The major component of the addition is the new multi-purpose room/gymnasium. This gymnasium consists of a full court, containing three half courts, bleacher seating, a running track and an aerobic room, all supported by a lobby | concession area. Faculty offices and a physical therapy suite tie the new and existing facilities together. The existing facility was upgraded to comply with current fire and life safety codes, as well as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

The construction for this facility was completed at the cost of  $7,110,000. The square footage of this facility, for both new and renovated construction, is 95,000 square feet.
