KITCHEN RENOVATION
PRIVATE RESIDENCE
UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI

Located in University City, the finished design consists of a main kitchen, informal design and butler's pantry. Tucked underneath the main staircase, the butler's pantry not only provides access from the kitchen to the formal dining room, but also serves as a mini-bar as the owner frequently entertains. In this space, fine crystal is displayed in a top-lit glass cabinet.

The client wanted an open and bright, yet traditional, kitchen. Bozoian Group eliminated the wall separating the kitchen and the informal dining room. A sit down counter/desk was added in between the two rooms. In the main kitchen, a built-in refrigerator/freezer and chef's pantry frames the entrance to the back stair. The cook top was dropped two inches and brought forward to accommodate the height of the main cook. Window treatments were removed to allow natural light into the kitchen. The white cabinets were placed on a light taupe background. Other finishes include granite countertops and new wood floors. Special attention was given to the lighting and special features include a remote controlled, built-in stereo system.
