CAPITOL GROUNDS IMPROVEMENTS
JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI

Bozoian Group is proud to have worked with the State of Missouri to restore select locations of the Capitol Building and Grounds.  The main objective of the project was to identify stone and associated built-in lighting that was deteriorating, assess the causes of deterioration and design appropriate repairs.  Components undergoing investigation included decorative stone walkways, stone stairs, railings, ornamental balusters, stone walls and all associated joints.  Areas that underwent investigation included the West Entrance Stairs, North Portico and the North Plaza, including the Fountain of the Centaurs, Signing of the Treaty Sculpture and Veteran’s Memorial.

Upon evaluating these locations, Bozoian Group researched the underlying causes of deterioration and presented design solutions, including cost opinions for appropriate repairs, to the Owner.
